The Zangersheide
stallion Quick Lauro Z belonged as a 6- and 7-yr-old to one of the best
showjumping horses of his age group, ridden by Jos Lansink before he was sold
for an astronomical amount to the U.S.A. When Quick Lauro Z returned to Europe, he continued his sport career under
Henk van de Pol. In the past two years this combination has been successful at
international level, with excellent results, for example, in Valkenswaard, Maastricht, Zuidlaren, Drammen and Geesteren. Quick Lauro Z is a son of
the famous sport and breeding stallion Quick Star on which Meredith Michaels
filled a giant prize cupboard. Dam’s sire Lauriston was also an international
showjumping horse and produced, amongst others, the Olympic jumper Promise Me
ridden by Ian Millar. In addition, Lauriston carries first class showjumping
blood. His sire Latus I descends from Landgraf I and the dam of Capitol I.
Lauriston’s grandma is no-one less than the famous Hanoverian mare Andorra II
(Agram). In the third remove Quick Lauro Z carries the genes of the stallion
Raphael (Ramiro Z). We know this showjumping horse producer as sire of, amongst
others, the famous showjumping horses Radiator (Rene Tebbel), Robinson (Richard
Spooner) and Ralph (Luiz Felipe de Azevedo).
